Carey & Ron

October 28, 2009

Carey and Ron are one of the most genuine couples I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.  Their bright and airy garden wedding took place at Leu Gardens.  It was a very special place for the couple because they had been there just a year earlier.  It took them hours to get to the gazebos at the back of the gardens because Ron was in the midst of treatment for Cancer.  When they finally did, he proposed.  Carey had stood beside him him through the discovery, treatment, and recovery…thankfully, he has just had clear scans!  The day was full of celebration and love.  And, when Reverend Glynn Ferguson had them repeat the words “For better or for worse, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health” I shed a tear.  It was inspiring.

Congratulations to Carey & Ron!  I know that you will be happy forever…

Melissa & Guy

Trying to keep up with all my blogging…I’m so behind!!  Here’s a few from Melissa and Guy’s session last week.  This super sweet couple is tying the knot at Disney in March!  They were up for anything and I even talked Melissa into sitting in the dirt for a few shots (which I think were totally worth it!). Don’t you just love how they contrasted the purple in their clothes with the earthy greens in the park?

Married Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes.  This was our first day shooting with our steadicam and I was excited by the initial results. Thanks to Emily Darling of Darling Celebrations for making our day go so smoothly!

You can’t go to Rome without visiting the Coliseum.  It’s a place so rich in history that you just stare at it’s crumbled remains and can’t help but imagine what life was like for Romans in its glory days.  We also made a stop at the world famous Trevi Fountain which is the entrance to the Roman aquaducts.  Then, we had an intimate 7 course Italian dinner at a 5 star restaurant on the Old Appian Way (I was stuffed after the second course, but it was so good I couldn’t stop eating!!).  Our night ended around 1:30 am at another world famous landmark…the Spanish Steps.

I love the romance of Old Europe…people everywhere, buildings crumbling, and always enough time for coffee.  I can’t wait to go back and hope to hit many more destinations in the coming years.

Please feel free to leave comments on this blog…I’d love your feedback!
