New York City in December. What else do I really need to say? It’s magical. I’d only been to New York once before in college for a scholarship interview when I drove up from South Carolina one day and turned around and drove back the next. It was the coldest day of the year and I didn’t get to see any monuments. BUT, I got the scholarship! Coming back this time I wanted to see it all and I feel like I may have gotten close. I even got to stay in a real NYC apartment on the 6th floor with no elevator (try that with 40 pounds of gear!). And, I am blessed to have an amazing friend like Briana of Divine Light to explore the city with, drag her ice-skating in Central Park, lay in a giant egg pod, and eat Dreaming Princesses with ice cold milk!

January 2nd, 2012Janelle contacted me over the holidays to talk not only about her wedding plans, but also to schedule an engagement session while her fiance was in town. A recent transplant from Charlotte, NC (the town I met my hubby in and consequently named our dog after!), she wasn’t really familiar with what Orlando had to offer. We decided on a downtown Orlando vibe and we set out to explore the area together on foot. I hope they come to love Orlando as much as Charlotte! And, I am very much looking forward to their wedding in June.
